John Eccles, Brewmaster
The grandson of a prohibition era brewmaster, John Eccles, a former hospital administrator, learned his trade during a three year apprenticeship under renowned brewmaster Jay Misson at the Mountain Valley Brewing Co. in Suffern, New York.
John has consulted on the establishment of a number of brewing facilities including Trap Rock Brewing Co., amongst others. Eccles' beers garnered a number of awards including a silver medal at the Great American Brewing Festival in Colorado. John is the co-founder of Tap New York, the largest and most prestigious beer festival/competition in New York.
John continues to ply his trade as the Director of Brewery Operations for both the Hyde Park Brewing Co. of Hyde Park, NY and Skytop Steakhouse and Brewing Co. of Kingston, NY.
